30 Rock Rocks!

First of all, can I be Tina Fey? Second of all, 30 Rock is hilarious. Tina Fey plays the character of Liz  Lemon who is the main writer for a show, "The Girlie Show." (A show within a show? It's not that confusing.) She has to manage a dysfunctional cast and crew as well as answer to a boss (played by Alec Baldwin) with a big ego who gives advice in the weirdest ways. Lemon struggles to balance work life with her home and romantic life. The romantic life cause quite hilarity throughout the show and causes Lemon to take great comfort in food. "I'm going to go talk to some food about this." is one of Lemon's favorite things to say. The two main stars of "The Girlie Show" never get along and are about as dumb as rocks but still very funny. We also cannot forget about Kenneth the page who keeps the cast somewhat sane. This show has a slight dimension of female empowerment as Fey's character struggles to be taken seriously as the head boss lady. At the end of the show, Lemon's life finally all seems to come together and everyone goes home happy.

30 Rock is to Tina Fey as Parks and Rec is to Amy Poehler. 30 Rock came first though.
